It is masquerading as "just 90 days" of freeze. However, as the New York Times put it, "The logic behind a 90-day extension is that the two sides would aim for a swift agreement on the borders of a Palestinian state. That would make the long dispute over settlements irrelevant since it would be clear which housing blocks fell into Israel and which fell into a Palestinian state." In short, the vote is actually on whether or not to enter the Obama Fast Track for Establishing a Palestinian Terror State While Booting out And Freezing Tens of Thousands Of Our Best Citizens. The stakes are extremely high and former IDF Chief of Staff and current Minister for Strategic Affairs Bogy Yaelon has refused to concur with Prime Minister Netanyahu and has instead insisted on an audience with Rabbi Ovadya Yosef to persuade Shas to vote against settlement freeze.
Above (scroll up to the Hebrew) you will find the names of 4 ministers (Saar and Steinitz - Likud; Eli Yishai and Atias -- Shas) who may vote "for" or abstain -- conveniently forgotting everything they promised to the public before the elections. Please call or fax these four ministers (scroll up for telephone numbers and for links to past campaign promises) and remind them of their responsibility to vote AGAINST. If you cannot make calls or fax (which are most effective by far) - please can you at least email all the Knesset Members which are relevant -- particulars allowed.
Do not be fooled by the reports about Shas purportedly being very tough. When you call the 2 Shas ministers, say that the most strengthening and effective political threat is voting against.
